Paul Dumbrell

Chief Executive Officer

Paul Dumbrell joined Jaybro Group as Chief Executive Officer in Jan 2025. Prior to joining Jaybro Paul was the CEO of Total Tools, market leader in the Professional Tools segment with over 110 stores and $1bn of revenue in Australia. With more than 15 years of experience in the automotive and retail industries, Paul has a proven track record of driving growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction through exceptional teams. He has successfully launched new products, expanded into new segments, and increased sales and profitability for Total Tools, as well as for his previous companies, Bapcor Limited, Autobarn and Automotive Brands.

Jeremy Joyce

Co-Founder

Jeremy Joyce is a visionary entrepreneur and the esteemed co-founder of Jaybro Group, a leading supplier to the civil construction and infrastructure sector. With over two decades of industry expertise, Jeremy’s passion for innovation and dedication to customer service have propelled Jaybro to remarkable success.

Paul Christie

Director

Paul joined the board of Jaybro Group in July 2021 following its acquisition of Delnorth, a leading supplier of infrastructure safety products to local government authorities, state departments of transport and public/private utility networks. Paul started in accounting at EY, before moving into a 10-year career in investment banking with RBS (London), Merrill Lynch and Nomura (Sydney). In 2015 Paul formed the Delnorth Group and led its growth up until its 2021 sale to Jaybro, where the business continues to thrive.

Renee Van Vugt

Chief Financial Officer

Renee is an experienced Senior Finance Leader with proven success operating in both Corporate and Divisional roles spanning building materials, property, marketing services, agriculture and consumer products. Renee has a track record of delivering complex strategic and transformational initiatives and motivating and developing teams to outperform their expectations. Renee is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from MBS. She commenced her career with KPMG, spending 6 years working in professional services and subsquently spending 13 years in Senior Finance roles in ASX listed companies. For the last 4 years Renee has been working with investments held by Private Equity Funds.

Alison Passey

Chief People Officer

Alison was appointed Group Human Resources Manager in June 2019. Prior to joining Jaybro Group, Alison was the Executive General Manager, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs for Port Authority of New South Wales. Alison is responsible for people, culture and safety at the Jaybro Group. Alison is passionate about aligning HR and HSEQ strategy to support business objectives though building leadership capability and engaged teams.

Nicole Bemelmans

Executive General Manager - Strategy & Growth

Nicole joined Jaybro in 2025 as Executive General Manager – Strategy & Growth. She is a visionary leader with over 20 years’ experience across retail, wholesale, franchise, and consumer goods sectors. Nicole has a proven track record in scaling businesses, transforming commercial strategies, and delivering strong ROI. She brings deep expertise in merchandising, product development, marketing, and operational growth. Known for her customer-first thinking and data-driven decisions, Nicole is passionate about practical execution and close collaboration. She brings a strong bias for action, a sharp eye for product–market fit, and a clear focus on creating value across the business.

Chris Smith

Executive General Manager - Geosynthetics

Chris took an exciting opportunity in 2006 to be involved in the start-up of a new business and played a pivotal role in creating what we would call Global Synthetics today. Chris has been in the geosynthetic industry for over 18 years and spent the early part of his career working for Ten Cate. Today Chris is an integral part of the Global Synthetics Management Team. As National Sales Manager Chris is involved in large civil infrastructure projects having worked on such vital projects as Pacific Hwy Upgrade, Northconnex, Westconnex and Sydney Metro.

Tom Arronis

Executive General Manager - Specialised Equipment

Experienced Executive level Operations Manager with a proven ability to positively transform large and complex operations from a Safety, Quality, Service and Operational Efficiency perspective through the continuous challenging of Business Strategies, Structures, Processes and People within a collaborative and financially focused environment.

Hayden Wallace

Executive General Manager - Roads

Experienced business leader of multi-site, multi product manufacturing, and national sales and distribution enterprise. Proven entrepreneurial success and record of achievement in strategic development, delivering strong organic profit growth, organisation design, product development and change management.

Mathew Cooper

Executive General Manager - Civil Consumables

Mathew Cooper joined Jaybro Group in 2025 as Executive General Manager – Civil Consumables, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience across ASX-listed and global businesses. He has held senior roles at AMA Group, Bapcor, Amcor and General Motors, with a strong track record in operational turnaround, team development, and commercial performance. Mathew is passionate about driving innovation, refining product strategy, and modernising operations, while maintaining a deep respect for the diverse customer base that defines Jaybro Group’s success. His leadership is defined by clarity, consistency, and a practical mindset that balances strategic ambition with disciplined execution.

Michael Smith

Executive General Manager - Concrete Technologies

Michael Smith is the EGM of Plastic Solutions Australia, a leading Australian supplier to the precast, tilt-up, and in-situ concrete industries. With extensive experience in business leadership, operations, and strategic growth, Michael has played a key role in expanding the company’s national footprint, driving innovation across engineered construction solutions, and strengthening long-term relationships throughout the construction and infrastructure sectors. Michael is recognised for his commercially driven approach, strong industry knowledge, and focus on operational performance, product development, and strategic growth opportunities across the Australian market.
